2-CONDUCTOR 18-GAUGE GOLD RAYON PARALLEL CORD - 250-foot spool

This is an 18-gauge cord in the parallel cord style where the conductors are covered in gold rayon braid.

Please note: Parallel cord is a flat cord. If you would like a round cord, please see our pulley cord or our overbraid cord.

Notes on the Cord

Sundial Wire's parallel cord is constructed from SPT-2 cord, which is two wires, side-by-side, bonded together by the PVC insulation to create one cord. This insulated cord is covered in rayon herringbone braid.

Usage

This wire is suitable for table-top or floor lighting and small appliances.

While parallel cord can be used for pendant lighting, the aesthetic effect of this wire when used for pendant lighting is not pleasing to most people.

You should consult a qualified electrician to ensure that the gauge of the wire you select can safely support the electrical load of your lamp or small appliance over the length of wire you are using.
