Sundial Wire
Our Cloth Covered Wire In Use
If you have pictures of our cloth covered wire in use and would like to have them posted here, send us the picture(s) at custserv@sundialwire.com. Let us know what you would like us to put as a caption. (You can even include a link if you'd like.) We can't guarantee we'll post every submission, but we'd love to show off our wire on your lamp, fan, radio, lighting, installation, etc.
Cloth covered wire is not just for antiques! Check out that braid.
Vintage 1905 General
Electric 'pancake' fan, so-called because of the wide, flattened shape of
its motor, restored using Sundial Wire's 18-gauge, twisted, two-conductor,
cloth-covered wire in medium brown.
Note the exposed
brass connectors for attaching the AC power source to the rear of the
motor.
Thanks to Jim Drake (Florida) for the photos.

Vintage bulb and socket wired with Sundial Wire's 18-gauge, twisted, two-conductor, cloth covered wire in gray.
Vintage knob and tube ceramics showing how our 12-gauge, single-conductor, knob and tube, cloth covered wire was used in the days before Romex.
